The Marketing Specialist will help support the development and delivery of innovative external communications strategies that build and reinforce FLEXcon's brand and reputation, position the firm as a leader in the marketplace, ensure consistent messaging, and position FLEXcon as a trusted partner in the industry and community. The successful candidate is a team player, creative thinker, and self-starter with an execution-oriented mindset. -MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Communications professional with 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Communications, English, Public Relations, Journalism, or Marketing Communications
  • Ability to interact and communicate across a variety of stakeholder groups (technical subject matter specialists, HR, Leadership Team), with the ability to present complex information in easily understandable format and tailored to audience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Outlook and Word. Knowledgeable in all aspects of Microsoft Office and ancillary programs.
  • Highly motivated and organized. -DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Drive all aspects of Public Relations planning and coordination.
    • Maintain publication lists for 8 markets & corporate focus.
    • Maintain vendor relationships to ensure that they are cost-effective and deliver quality: -distributing press releases, scheduling media interviews, prepping support materials for interviews & events.
    • Explore and support advertising opportunities in publications that we collaborate with/contribute to.
    • Collaborate with Marketing Writer to write strategic news releases and pitches for distribution to media sources (i.e. press releases, key messages, etc.).
    • Partner cross-functionally within the broader Marketing team to ensure alignment across all teams.
    • Collaborate with web team and HR to generate appropriate social & web content to promote activities
    • Develop innovative approaches to distribute content and promote the company
    • Event Coordination: fully execute logistics and organize program elements including, but not limited to: venues/locations, transportation, d--cor, lighting, staffing, tours, audio visual, accommodations, entertainment and speakers/presenters.
    • Trade Show: Champion event planning with our internal team and external vendors. This includes: show services, securing booth space, booth design, pre-show meetings, lead plan & follow-up.
    • Financially coordinate programs including generating purchase requisitions, review invoices and billings for payment and accuracy, as well as organizing payment through accounting.
    • Track and report on effectiveness of activities: Events, PR, editorial opportunities, advertisements.
    • Other duties consistent with the general nature and focus of the position and/or the goals and objectives of the department may be assigned. -PHYSICAL AND COGNITIVE REQUIREMENTS
      • Category #3 (Hybrid Employee): Employee requires regular travel to a FLEXcon facility and will require a dedicated remote and onsite office space (does need to live within a reasonable driving commute to FLEXcon NA Facility).
      • Must be able to work overtime as needed.
      • Must be punctual, able to follow attendance guidelines, and work hours as assigned.
      • Estimated % of travel is 5%. - - ENVIRONMENT, HEALTH AND SAFETY:
        • Must be committed to a high standard of safety and be willing and able to comply with all environmental and safety regulations, including the Company's environmental and safety policies and procedures. - Must be willing to report potential environmental and safety improvements to appropriate supervisory and/or management personnel.
        • Must report all (on shift / off shift) incidents to Supervisor immediately.
        • Must adhere to FLEXcon's personal protective equipment standards.
        • The incumbent in this position is responsible for knowledge of and adherence to environmental policies and company procedures as per the company's Environmental Management System.
        • Must not pose a direct threat or significant risk of harm to the safety of themselves or others.
        • Responsible for informing the Company if he/she is taking medications or if there are any other circumstances that would interfere with safe performance of job duties. - - - -QUALITY
          • The incumbent in this position is responsible for knowledge of and adherence to the policies and procedures as they relate to the requirements of Quality Management System. - -INTERPERSONAL AND COMMUNICATION SKILLS
