School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1
years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do
not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A school
psychologist is needed to support students across elementary,
middle, and high school levels in Newport, RI. This contract
position involves providing psychological services within a school
setting, focusing on students from grades K-5, 6-8, and 9-12. Key
Responsibilities: Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations
for students. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and
administrators to develop individual education plans (IEPs).
Provide consultation and support to staff regarding student
behavioral and learning needs. Assist in crisis intervention and
prevention strategies. Monitor student progress and recommend
appropriate interventions. Qualifications: Valid school
psychologist certification or licensure. Experience working with
students in grades K-12. Strong knowledge of psychological
assessment tools and educational laws. Effective communication and
interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a
multidisciplinary team. Location: Newport, Rhode Island This is a
contract role suited for a dedicated professional committed to
supporting student well-being and educational success. Candidates
with experience across multiple grade levels are preferred.
