The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing,
modifying, and implementing manufacturing equipment and processes
to efficiently, effectively, and safely produce high quality
products to meet and exceed customer needs and applications. This
role provides the uniquely exciting, hands-on opportunity to ensure
optimum performance of processes and equipment throughout the
design to manufacture workflow.
Develop and document Bill of Materials (BOMs), shop routers /
travelers, and visual work instructions.
Support ECO and QMS systems and processes.
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues.
Design and maintain tooling & fixtures as needed to support
Develop and implement process controls.
Design, prototype, and qualify new products.
Collaborate with Quality Assurance (QA), production staff, and
Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing machinery / equipment
Work with manufacturing personnel to ensure new and existing
processes are robust and well-documented, continuously seek
employee feedback for improvement of performance, quality,
ergonomics, mistake-proofing, and safety.
Train production supervisors and staff on new and revised
Experience working in AS9100 / ISO 9001 quality systems in a
ASME Y14.5 GD&T requirements
Lean manufacturing / Six-Sigma training
Mechanical aptitude and equipment set up / maintenance
Experience with electric coil winding processes and equipment
Experience with electrical testing of components and assemblies
Knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and inspection
Proficient with solid modeling software (Autodesk Inventor,
Solidworks, NX, Catia) and ERP systems.
Strong analytical, problem solving, and solution evaluation
Ability to communicate technical knowledge in a clear and
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, internally
Excellent technical writing skills
Independent starter with high self-motivation and self-management
Excellent prioritization and project development / management
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proven
ability to build and maintain productive work relationships
Skilled at Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Basic Project Scheduling Skills And Experience With Scheduling
Ability to accept and adapt to changing internal and external
Ability to evaluate engineering processes and identify areas for
improvement and pursue changes needed to improve efficiency,
quality, and schedule performance.
Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical
Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or
similar. Other education with sufficient pertinent experience may
