Job Description:
Waters Global Machining Operations is searching for a Senior
Manufacturing Engineer whose responsibilities will range from new
product process development to the support of legacy processes.
This assignment will focus on our 4-5 axis milling centers. It can
also include technical oversight of junior engineering staff.
Success in this position requires a working knowledge of CNC
programming as well as tool design, process layout, and general
manufacturing skills typically found in a medical device
manufacturing environment.This individual would join a large team
of professionals who work within our world-class 50,000 square-foot
Machining/Manufacturing facility. This facility includes over 90+
start of the art CNC machines and technologies. We seek a highly
skilled and motivated manufacturing engineer to work in this
exciting, fast paced work environment utilizing a variety of
machining technologies to produce components for our biotechnology
products.This opening is a day-- -position five days a week.Job
responsibilities are broad in scope and are highlighted
below:Process ownership of detailed manufacturing processes within
assigned support area.Develop and improve new and existing
manufacturing processes in a regulated environment.Participation in
the DFM process with new product development to ensure our
readiness for sustainable production.Development of prototype and
production tooling to support development, then production ramp-up
and finally releaseSupport less tenured engineers as a technical
mentor and leader.Cross-function support for both up and downstream
manufacturing departments such as assembly, deburring, etc.Identify
new equipment, manufacturing technologies and make recommendations
regarding equipment to achieve strategic objectives.Identify and
execute plant-level improvements including material flow and
process design to achieve strategic objectives.Education:AS or
higher in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or
equivalent discipline. In the absence of a degree, significant work
experience will be considered and reviewed accordingly.--
-Experience:5 years of experience in a machining or manufacturing
environment.5 years as a support engineer for machining processes
as described above.Proficiency in UG/NX, SolidWorks, or similar CAD
systems.Ability to program using G code (manual), as well as
Esprit,-- -Mastercam, NX, -- -or similar CAM softwareThorough
understanding of mechanical drawings, and assembly
drawings.Experience with GD&T and its proper use and
application.Experience working in a regulated environment
preferred.Demonstrated hands-on experience as a contributor making
