Job Description:

As a member of the process engineering team, you will be responsible for the functionality of manufacturing processes and equipment as well as the development and implementation of innovative solutions to improve quality and productivity at our Millbury facility.--- You will work closely with with the R&D, manufacturing, and quality teams to interpret and ensure customer requirements as well as all regulatory requirements are met.
Please note that as our company is ITAR regulated this position requires the individual to be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent lawful resident, or 'protected individual' defined by 8 U.S.C. - 1324b(a)(3))
Key Responsibilities

  • Design, review and approve manufacturing processes
  • Modify equipment and processes to improve safety, consistency, yield and accommodate new products
  • Participate in development of new equipment specifications and procurement
  • Oversee maintenance of equipment and general facilities ensuring proper preventative maintenance procedures are established and performed
  • Capital budget and equipment project planning and timelines
  • Maintenance and expansion of contractor relationships
  • Generate working mechanical and electrical drawings with part specifications
  • Provide operator training and hands on/standby support as needed
  • Create and maintain standard operating procedures
  • Work with EH&S to ensure environmental, health, and safety regulatory compliance
  • Collaborate with R&D to create sustainable processes to fulfill customer's product needs.
  • Work with Quality on Document Control and Contract Review
  • Perform ergonomic and hazard review on equipment
  • Assist facility in establishing lean manufacturing principles and practices
  • Other duties as assignedKey Qualifications/Requirements:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
    • 3+--- years' manufacturing experience
    • Composite prepreg is an asset but not a requirement
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite tools and Solid Works
    • Experience and strong aptitude in an ERP or other related system
    • Excellent oral and written communication skill.
    • Proven ability to work as a team member or independently and to manage time effectively
    • Strong project management skills and knowledge
    • Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma KnowledgeWorking ConditionsThis role works on a daily basis in both our office and manufacturing plant environments and requires a high degree of interaction with all aspects of the business.
