Job Description:
Process Engineer:(Must have Plastics experience) The Process
Engineer is responsible for working with the New Product
Development team to implement new products through tooling and
process developments in an ISO and Good Manufacturing Practices
(GMP) environment. Additional responsibilities include process
troubleshooting, analyzing current trends and identifying areas for
improvement and participating in continuous Improvement activities
to reduce variability and improve production efficiencies.Essential
Accountabilities 1. Devise and implement improvements for
processes, equipment and methods needed to manufacture products 2.
Establish material, labor and machinery standards for products as
assigned. 3. Communicate with planning and design staffs concerning
product design and tooling to assure efficient production methods.
4. Lead or coordinate development of new products or processes as
defined in the company's Development Program. 5. Train other
department team members on the proper methods for utilizing
equipment. 6. Improve production efficiencies through increased
cycle rates and labor optimization methods. 7. Approve or arrange
for approval of expenditures within established guidelines. 8.
Provide day to day support for manufacturing process including
training, resolving process upsets, material changes, etc. 9.
Develop, write, execute, analyze and document plans; interpret and
document results; communicate, and implement changes driven by
results. 10. Responsible for understanding the company ISO quality
system as it relates to process establishment and
development.Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor of Science Degree in
Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical Engineering or similar
degree.Desired Skills: -Knowledge of plastic materials -Must be a
self-starter, a "hands-on" engineer, good organizational skills and
good written and verbal communications skills -Process
troubleshooting experience or experience in a manufacturing
environment -Ability to learn and utilize MRP/ERP system
-Background in statistical analysis techniques or statistical
process control -Knowledge of modern manufacturing methods
including Lean, Six Sigma, etc. -Project management - leads
projects for process improvements within defined machine parameters
& specificationsWork Environment Conditions: Inside: Office and
Manufacturing environment (Good Manufacturing Practices/American
Institute of Bakers certified manufacturing environment)
