Job Description:
The Opportunity
National Grid is hiring a Senior Engineer for our Electric Control
Center in Northborough, MA.
This position is a hybrid role. Our team works from the office
minimum two days a week. Occasionally, we may travel to our control
room locations in our Upstate New York service territory.
The Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS) is a software
platform that serves as the digital twin to our as-operated
distribution system. The ADMS integrates the Outage Management
System (OMS), Distribution Management System (DMS), and
Distribution SCADA to monitor, operate and automate the
distribution system through real-time, data-driven analysis. As a
project team, we continuously build, maintain, and improve the
ADMS, adding new functionality and identifying new use cases. These
capabilities will future-proof our control rooms and coordinate
technical, real-time data across many programs, people, and grid
modernization platforms. Our objective is to advance to the grid
automation stage in the next two years.
