Coupled with The Overlook's bucolic setting with miles of nature trails, outstanding Resident lifestyle, wealth of amenities and continuum of quality health care, services and programs, The Overlook has a Vision to design and implement a "community within a community," expanding beyond our singular use as a Retirement Community into a popular mixed-use environment, attracting chefs, artisans, select retailers, educators, programs, volunteerism and visitors of all ages from the surrounding region and beyond!The Overlook Campus Director of Resident Lifestyle and Volunteer Programming promotes and embodies "The Overlook Way" by proactively supporting a holistic, person-centered approach. Primary focuses of the position: 1) Develop and oversee Resident enrichment, through programming that focuses on The Overlook's 7 Dimensions of Well Being; establish a cohesive, well-rounded and synchronistic approach across the Charlton Campus for all Resident Programming.

  • The Campus continuum includes: Independent Living, Enhanced Living, Assisted Living Memory Care, Post Acute Short-Term Rehabilitation, Long Term Skilled Nursing and Vista Adult Day; 2) Empower, support and coach The Overlook's Enrichment staff in the design and implementation of engaging and meaningful Resident programming. 3) Build, coordinate and manage a robust Volunteer Program for Overlook Communities (OC) Independent Living and Overlook Health and Rehabilitation Center (OMHC), to further augment and support Resident well- being at The Overlook.Qualifications:
      • Minimum of Bachelor's degree in a related field, including Health, Wellness, Hospitality, Recreational Therapy, preferred.
        • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience working with seniors and developing programming in a continuing care retirement community or community-based setting (i.e. wellness resort, university campus, etc.)
        • Minimum of 3-5 years' Director or executive level leadership experience, managing multiple staff and /or volunteers
          • Experience in development and implementation of programs for persons with memory loss preferred
          • Current MA driver's license
