Alden's hydraulic group is looking for a Senior Computational Fluid Dynamics Engineer with experience in computational fluid dynamics and its application in water resources including free surface and closed conduit flows, river mechanics, spillways, fish passage, pump stations and other civil hydraulic structures. The candidate must be a team player with strong leadership qualities but be comfortable working independently. This position can be based in any of our offices with the possibility of remote work . This is a fast-paced, hands-on opportunity to work on unique, one-of-a-kind projects with clients throughout a range of geographies and industries. RESPONSIBILITES:

• Meeting/speaking with prospective clients to learn their needs
• Management and execution of modeling projects from start to finish
• Develop technical approaches and costing, model set up, grid generation, simulations, analysis of data, interpretation of results, and hydraulic design
• Technical writing (proposals, memos, reports, presentations, conference papers, etc.)
• Attend industry conferences and trade shows.
• Customer interaction responsibilities, making written and oral communication skills important QUALIFICATIONS :
  • Master's or Ph.D. in Hydraulic or Civil Engineering and 7 + years of experience in computational fluid dynamics related to water resources, river mechanics, fish passage, pump stations, or civil hydraulic structures
  • Professional Engineer or ability to obtain registration within 6 months
  • Proven ability to effectively manage projects
  • Demonstrated experience with marketing and or business development (e.g., give talks, write papers)
  • Supervisory and mentoring experience
  • Proficient with commercial software (FLOW3D, Star CCM+, Fluent, Rhino, Tecplot, and CAD)
