Summary:Reporting directly to the SVP, Chief Strategy and Government Programs Officer, you will play a very visible and business critical role in driving execution of initiatives that support Fallon Health's strategy. You will collaborate with leaders from business areas, technology, and corporate service functions to prioritize and plan strategic initiatives and to ensure that strategic initiatives are completed on time, on budget. You will actively lead the enterprise prioritization process and will manage a team of project managers, developing and enhancing skills based on waterfall and agile methodologies. Our new Sr. Director of PMO will work closely with Finance and project sponsors to develop and track the ROI of strategic initiatives.ResponsibilitiesDevelop, motivate, and provide direction to Fallon's project management team, leveraging expertise and skills, allocating resources, and supporting team members' enhancement of skills and capabilities.Define project management best practices and ensure availability of training and consistency of practice, as well as the development of project management processes, tools, and templates.Develop or leverage a framework that effectively supports cross-functional prioritization of emerging, annual, and multi-year strategic initiatives. Ensure prioritization is part of the annual planning process, and that the strategic initiative portfolio is aligned with Fallon's financial and strategic plan.Collaborate with colleagues to develop and plan resources needed for successful completion of strategic initiatives, educating colleagues about project management best practices as needed.Define and implement reporting mechanisms for strategic initiatives and develop broad reporting capabilities for Fallon's leadership team's oversight of the project portfolio including initiative status (time and budget), ROI, and risk management.Consult with project sponsors, business leaders, and functional managers on matters related to existing and proposed strategic initiatives.Serve on various Fallon Health committees, as necessary.QualificationsProject Management certification and training required in Waterfall and Agile methodologies.Thorough knowledge of the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) is preferred.10 - 15 years' experience in project management, team managementExperience in managed care / health care is a plus. Prior experience establishing and leading Project Management functions, successfully managing large-scale projects, and working with internal resources as well as contractors/vendors.Experience with project governance protocols and practices. Deep relationship management, change management, and superior communication skills required.College degree in related discipline.
