Avidia BankEqual Employment Opportunity/M/F/disability/protected veteran statusDescription:Position Overview:Plans, organizes and manages the activities of assigned branch and actively participates in business development activities in conformance with established Bank strategies, policies and procedures.Primary Responsibilities:Performs any functions necessary, within scope of authority and expertise, to provide the highest level of service and responsiveness to customers:Serves in a business development capacity and supports lending services in the branch. In conjunction with a Commercial Relationship Officer, makes sales commercial customers outside the branch. Builds productive and profitable relationships with existing customers through calling efforts to market and cross sell appropriate bank services and products.Represents the Bank through participation in various community and industry related activities including involvement in local Chambers of Commerce, Rotary and other business related organizations, and community service agencies. Actively promotes interest in the Bank wherever and whenever possible and grows networking opportunities.Manages and develops staff resources and ensures the effective delivery of products and services within the branch. Provides leadership and counsel to direct reports, develops goals and objectives and actively manages progress toward those goals through performance management. Originates HELOCS and consumer loans, making loan decisions within assigned limits and lending authority. Serves as Account Officer for assigned consumer accounts and loans.Make referrals of existing and prospective customers to the Bank's business partners. If needed, make calls on certain existing customers to nurture ongoing relationships and to cross sell other Bank services and products.Performs various branch audits, provides reports of branch activity and goal/objective achievements.Ensures the proper maintenance of branch grounds, facilities and equipment. Oversees and reports to the Security Officer on the security status of assigned branch.Requirements:Associates degree or an equivalent combination of specific banking training and professional experience. At least seven years retail banking experience including three years of supervisory experience within a branchProven skills in business development and sales within the banking industryExcellent management, customer service, and problem solving skills. Leadership involvement in community organizations and networking groups such as Rotary, BNI, or Chambers of Commerce. Demonstrated knowledge of various banking products and services including deposit accounts, loans, IRAs and business banking services.Strong computing skills including MS Office applications and banking core processing applications.
