Position Description As a part of the OptumCare network, Reliant Medical Group is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our growing team in Worcester, MA. Primary Responsibilities: * Provides comprehensive care to a select population of patients in the specialty * Manage own patient panel in office * Assist each week in the OR * No call * Would join a team of 5 APs, 8 Orthopods and 4 physiatrists * Performs age appropriate physical assessments, evaluation and treatment for primary care patient base seeking services from the organization * Takes history, including chief complaint, presenting illness, past medical history and interval history. Performs age appropriate physical exam as it relates to chief complaint * Orders lab studies when indicated. Identifies differential diagnosis. Assesses severity of patient's illness and establishes need/time for patient evaluation. Discriminates between normal and abnormal findings in the history and physical in order to establish a diagnosis. Required Qualifications: * Licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts board of registration as a Physician Assistant * Graduate of an Accredited AP program * Maintains BLS certification, professional certification as appropriate * Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) - Specifically Medi-Tech and or Epic * Flexibility with schedule to be available to meet the needs of our patients * Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills At OptumCare, we've found that putting clinicians at the center of care is the best way to improve lives.
