Job Description:

A premier residential drug and alcohol treatment center located 25 miles from Worcester, Massachusetts, offering detoxification services, inpatient residential treatment, and outpatient treatment options is seeking a full time Psychiatrist. At this inpatient center, adults can obtain care for their addictions and mental health concerns. We treat different forms of substance abuse, including addictions to alcohol, heroin, benzodiazepines, opioids, prescription pills, etc. The center also treats co-occurring conditions. Mental health concerns including depression and anxiety can be cared for through our dual diagnosis program. -- Superior compensation and flexible scheduling available -- This is an exceptional opportunity with a growing company

• Actively participate a member of treatment team in a collaborative manner to provide the best treatment for patients.
• Complete and maintain accurate records and reports regarding the patients' histories and progress, services provided, and other required information
• Responsible for the medical/psychiatric review of all patients entering treatments
• Responsible for medical liaison with patient primary care physicians and/or medical reviewers of third party payers as needed or indicated by medical review.
• Medical doctor or Doctor of Osteopathy degree required.
• Must be BE/BC in psychiatry
• Must possess an understanding of the nature of the disease concept and recovery and how medical care contributes to outcomes and sustained recovery
• Minimum of one year's experience in drug and alcohol treatment preferred
• Four weeks paid vacation, sick day, personal days, and holidays

  Job Duties & Responsibilities: Psychiatrist

  --- Complete and maintain accurate records and reports regarding the patients' histories and progress, services provided, and other required information
  --- Responsible for the medical/psychiatric review of all patients entering treatments
  --- Responsible for medical liaison with patient primary care physicians and/or medical reviewers of third party payers as needed or indicated by medical review.
  
  --- Education & Experience: Psychiatrist
  --- Medical doctor or Doctor of Osteopathy degree required.
  --- Must be BE/BC in psychiatry
  --- Must possess an understanding of the nature of the disease concept and recovery and how medical care contributes to outcomes and sustained recovery
