We provided advanced care in Retinal Ophthalmology, Advanced Glaucoma Ophthalmology, and Oculoplastic Ophthalmology. -Reliant Medical Group seeks a compassionate, enthusiastic, and professional Certified Ophthalmic Assistant to join our Eye Services team in Worcester, MA. This is a full-time, Monday-Friday, hours vary 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM position.The Certified Ophthalmic Assistant performs a variety of duties involving routine and advanced vision testing. -Assists physician/optometrist in the examination and treatment of patients by performing routine vision tests, clinical/diagnostic procedures, and other related duties including patient triaging and responding to patient questions. -You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. -Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) in active status through JCAHPO
  • 1+ years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of a variety of routine and advanced vision and diagnostic tests and procedures
  • Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential job function of this role. Candidates located in states that mandate COVID-19 booster doses must also comply with those state requirements.     • CPR/BLS certification
    • Experience working in a sterile field setup and assisting with minor surgical procedures
    • General computer skills or knowledge
    • Knowledge of various software applications such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.
