UMass Memorial Health, the health and wellness partner of the people of Central Massachusetts, the largest health care system in Central Massachusetts and the clinical partner of UMass Chan Medical School, seeks an Infectious Disease Specialist to serve as Associate Hospital Epidemiologist. UMass Memorial Medical Center is a tertiary care referral center serving more than one million people in central Massachusetts and the surrounding region.

• Work in a collegial and collaborative setting where clinical care, education and research are valued.
  
• The Associate Hospital Epidemiologist will also serve as an attending on the infectious disease inpatient and outpatient services.
  
• Teaching is integrated into our practice and an academic appointment is available commensurate with experience. There are extensive research opportunities and collaborations possible through UMass Chan Medical School.
  
• We have an active antibiotic stewardship program including a dedicated ID Pharm D.
  
• Our institution is a safety net hospital for Central Massachusetts and has a level one trauma center, solid organ and bone marrow transplant programs, centers of excellence in Cardiac Surgery, Stroke, and Joint Replacement and Spine Surgery, 7 adult ICUs, a PICU, and a level 3 NICU.
  
• We have a robust Clinical Trials group doing work on vaccines, pharmaceutical agents, and diagnostics.
  
• The Infectious Diseases Division of the UMass Chan Medical School is a grantee of Ryan White Part C and has multiple clinical care HIV, Hepatitis C and emerging diseases (Covid) treatment contracts from Massachusetts Department of Public Health.
  
• The successful candidate will be Board Certified in Infectious Disease and have experience in hospital epidemiology or public health. Master of Public Health attractive though not required.
