Job Description Description:Speech and Language Therapist - Regular Full TimeNotre Dame Health Care, Inc.Worcester, MA The Speech Language Pathologist plans, organizes, develops and directs speech therapy services in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, and as may be directed by the Director of Rehabilitation. The Speech Language Pathologist assesses, diagnoses, treats, and helps to prevent disorders related to speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, swallowing, and fluency. He/she may select alternative communication systems when needed and teach their use to residents. Responsibilities include:Completes resident speech and language assessments on a quarterly basis, or as needed or instructed by the Director or nursing home administrator,Develops and implements treatment plans,Administers and/or evaluates hearing or speech language testing,Provides speech and language treatment and education to residents and/or family members,Consults with and advises nursing and medical staff to execute the most appropriate individualized treatment program,Attends resident care planning meetings, as scheduled.Who We Are: Notre Dame Health Care Center, deeply rooted in the heritage the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur, is committed to the physical, spiritual, and emotional care of our residents. PM17Requirements: ---Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program. ---Active state license required. ---Good organizational and time management skills.---Good verbal and written communication skills for working with residents, families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members ---Experience/Knowledge in order adult rehabilitation ---Experience in the sub-acute/skilled nursing facility setting (minimum 2 years) ---ASHA (CCC) Certification PI206667793
