JOB TITLE: MRI STAFF NURSELOCATION: UMASS/WORCESTERHOURS: FLEXIBLE OPTIONS: Thurs, Fri, Sat 7:00pm - 7:00am OR 9:00pm - 7:00am 4 days a week with flexible options.A. PURPOSE AND SCOPE:In keeping with Shields Health Care commitment to excellence, the nursing staff will provide a professional, caring atmosphere to all customer groups, while maintaining a fast-paced, multi-tasked oriented clinical environment.B. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:1.) Manages patient care, appropriate to the developmental age and cultural diversity2.) Performs patient assessments/reassessments.3.) Works collaboratively with other staff members4.) Works collaboratively with other healthcare providers5.) Complies with legal and ethical aspects of patient care.6.) Assumes responsibility for professional growth7.) Maintains a safe environment8.) Administers medications and operates equipment according to policy and procedure9.) Complies with infection control procedures10.) Demonstrates a commitment to promote a positive work environment11.) Complies with all health and safety regulations12.) IVsC. REQUIREMENTS:1.) RNs must possess a current license to practice in Massachusetts.2.) BLS and PALSD. EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:Registered Nurses in the state of MAE. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:Minimum five years of previous nursing experience. Prior ICU, PACU or ER experience preferred.F. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Ability to stand, walk, reach and bend a minimum of 8 hours per day in a fast-paced environment servicing both inpatients and outpatients. Must be able to assist in lifting and transferring patient who may weigh in excess of 250 pounds.G. INTERNAL/EXTERNAL INTERACTIONS:This position requires extensive patient interaction with employees at all organizational levels. There is moderate interaction with outside sources.Patient experience will include both inpatient and outpatients, all ages from birth to elderly, ICU, intubated and anesthesia cases, researching of implants.NOTE: It is not intended that this Job Description include all details of the work functions of this position.
