Location: Worcester, MA Setting: Level I Trauma Center Coverage Type: Locum Tenens Assignment Length Minimum commitment: 3 months Option to extend Schedule Weekday Shifts: 7:00 AM 4:00 PM Weekday Call: 4:00 PM 7:00 AM Weekend Call: 6:00 AM 7:00 AM Clinical Volume & Responsibilities Trauma Inpatients: Trauma Activations: per 24-hour period % blunt trauma Two attendings cover the service during daytime hours Emergency General Surgery (EGS): Some calls include EGS coverage EGS consults: 0 8 per call Operative cases: 0 3 per call Emergencies only (e.g., perforated viscus) Support Structure APP Coverage: 2 APPs during the day 1 APP overnight Residents: PGY-3 or PGY-4 Interns: 2 during the day 1 overnight EMR Epic Requirements Fellowship trained in Surgical Critical Care DEA required CSR required MA license preferred (will consider candidates without active MA license)
