Rate: Up to $2350.00 weekly Location: Worcester, MA Night Shift
(12H) Qualifications & Requirements Education Graduate from an
accredited school of nursing. Experience Requirements: 1.5 years of
experience (minimum), prefer 2 years Skill Requirements: Must be
able to read telemetry Other: EPIC preferred. ACLS, BLS, PALS
required Licenses/Certifications Have and maintain current
licensure within the state of Massachusetts. Key Responsibilities
Patient Assessment: conduct thorough and rapid assessments of
patients upon arrival, including checking vital signs, medical
history, and presenting symptoms to determine the severity of their
condition. Triage: prioritize patient care based on the urgency of
medical needs, ensuring that critical cases receive immediate
attention while managing less urgent cases effectively. Emergency
Care: administer emergency medical interventions such as CPR, wound
care, and stabilization of patients in critical condition,
utilizing advanced life support techniques as necessary. Medication
Administration: prepare and administer medications, including IV
fluids and pain relief, while monitoring for adverse reactions and
ensuring compliance with protocols. Collaboration with Medical
Team: work closely with physicians, specialists, and other
healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans,
ensuring effective communication and teamwork in high-pressure
situations. Patient Monitoring: continuous monitoring of patients'
conditions, including heart rate, blood pressure, and oxygen
saturation, is essential to detect any changes that may require
immediate intervention. Documentation: maintaining accurate and
detailed records of patient assessments, treatments, and responses
to care is crucial for compliance with hospital policies and legal
requirements. Patient Education: provide education and support to
patients and their families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans,
and post-discharge care instructions to promote understanding and
compliance. Infection Control: adhering to strict infection control
protocols to minimize the risk of hospital-acquired infections is a
vital responsibility, including proper hand hygiene and the use of
personal protective equipment (PPE).
