In exchange, NDHC is committed to providing our staff with a respectful, professional, and safe workplace.Adhering to HIPAA guidelines and applicable regulations, assist the the Business Office Manager and ND At-Home management team to maintain patient health/medical records in accordance with Federal and State guidelines, as well as in accordance with our established policies. Employee will organize and manage health information data by ensuring its quality, accuracy, and security in both paper and electronic systems. The Health Information Associate is responsible for working with all aspects of health information including: assembling medical records, scanning, deficiency analysis, records release, chart completion, etc. in a manner consistent with NDHC and department policies and procedures. PM17 High School diploma or equivalent required. Associates degree or certification in health information, office/clerical management, or related field preferred. Minimum 2-5 years experience working within a medical records, medical billing/coding, or administrative/clerical position preferred. Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) required. Minimum 2 years experience maintaining computer databases or excel spreadsheets preferred. Strong computer/data entry/typing skills including the uploading/scanning and electronic storage of files required. Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills required. Excellent analytical skills and judgment to interpret data and take appropriate action in circumstances and situations that vary required. Strong attention to detail, commitment to excellence and strong planning and organizational skills, using time efficiently and prioritizing and coordinating tasks appropriately required. Must be able to work with interdisciplinary departments to obtain required information to meet submission deadlines.
