Title: Office Nurse Medical Group

Location: UMass Memorial Medical Group - 24 JULIO DRIVE,
Start and end times may vary but normal hours may include; 8:30 AM
- 5:00 PM, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
Patient telephone triage experience in a Family Medicine Primary
Care office preferred.Position Summary:
Completes patient physical assessment. Performs and/or delegates
patient treatments as prescribed by the physician. Documents
patient care. Develops and implements an educational plan for
Current licensure in the State of Massachusetts ? either LPN or
- Triages phone calls and executes appropriate follow
- Performs vital signs, and visual acuity on designated patients
and documents appropriately. Assists physicians with technical
procedures, such as outpatient surgical procedures, pap smears,
sigmoidoscopies, etc., assembling sterile instruments and supplies,
participating in the set?up, maintenance, and disassembly and
cleaning of patient equipment.
- Performs venipuncture using aseptic technique, 12 lead EKGs and
immunizations. Administers immunizations, medications, IVs.
Performs quality control testing in compliance with CLIA
- Recognizes changes in patient's physical and mental condition
and takes appropriate actions. Responds appropriately to emergency
situations. Provides nursing interventions to appropriate to
patient's physical condition and emotional status.
- Demonstrates a commitment to promote an office environment that
supports positive public relations and image, effective
communication with patients, visitors, and health team members.
