Responsible for ensuring that we meet or exceed all company goals for their respected areas. Review and enforce production schedules and manage available work force to obtain maximum production while maintaining the highest level of safety. Responsible for monitoring production quality and efficiencies. Work to train and educate all operators. Recommend changes to improve quality, efficiency and reduce overall costs.MINIMUM POSITION REQUIREMENTSEducation and/or ExperienceHigh School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) plus 5+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing with proven leadership experience as a Manufacturing Operations Production Supervisor. Technical training and/or technical degree is a plus.FUNCTIONAL SCOPEBudget Oversight, if applicable: N/AEmployees Supervised, if applicable: All production employees Leads, Shift Assistant, Operators on assigned shiftsDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESPosition responsibilities include:

  • Ensure all areas of production are safe, maintain a safe working environment for all employees, and enforce all PPE. Contribute to a Safety First Culture by identifying Risky Situations
  • Lead and direct Team Leaders on assigned shift. Supervise manufacturing production team in their respective value stream (Assembly, and/or Molding Operations) Manage the flow of material through their respective value stream Oversee training and development Drive accountability in respective Value Stream on all 3 shifts Monitor production quality and be responsible for part produced on shift Ensure effective communication is being communicated to all supportive functions in the organization, and that communication is being seamlessly transferred to all 3 shifts Monitor employee efficiencies; Strive to complete all orders in time to meet OTD goals, and Daily Schedule Conformance Metrics Responsible for continuous improvement in quality, efficiency and reduction of costs. Assist in the review of non-conforming product in the Quality Hold sort/rework area (MRB). Drive continuous improvement Maintain plant cleanliness and organization by utilizing 5S principles. Prepare and administer all subordinate performance reviews. Prepare required tracking forms including but not limited to labor reporting, attendance reporting, training, and scrap tracking. Conduct new hire orientation and training (Attach Additional Sheets if Necessary) _ ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS Reports to the Plant Manager. Maintains regular interface with all levels of plant management and personnel in MA. _ BACK-UPIn absence of an incumbent in this position, the back-up for primary duties is responsibility of the Production Manager. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned among other qualified employees, depending upon business priorities.

Qualification Requirements High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) plus 5+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing with proven leadership experience as a Manufacturing Operations Production Supervisor. Technical training and/or technical degree is a plus. Proven track record of accomplishments in managing a production team to achieve business results. Knowledge of production equipment related molding, machining and assembly. Must have a sense of urgency and be extremely flexible to adjust to continually changing demands and adjust production plan to meet the demands. Demonstrated ability to solve problems creatively in a way that positively impacts operations. Ability to detect and correct process problems. Demonstrated flexibility to participate in various activities and tasks based upon the needs of the department. Ability to comprehend and train others to documents such as work instructions, safety rules, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written Exhibit a high degree of responsibility with an emphasis on safety, quality, and inspection standards.
