Job Description

AAFCPAs is growing! We are looking to add a highly-motivated and results-driven Human Resources Generalist to our Talent Management team! The HR Generalist will work under the direction of the Director, Talent Management and with guidance from the Talent Manager, Rewards and Systems. The role includes a wide array of support and project work with a focus on the administration of payroll, benefits, leave of absences and internal/external reporting requirements. In addition, the HR Generalist will support and partner with HR leaders to drive continuous improvement within our processes and systems, to include immigration, compliance, employee relations, performance management and onboarding/offboarding. This role is key to the delivery of Human Resources initiatives to our team members.


  • Work closely with Talent Manager, Rewards and Systems to learn and administer bi-weekly payroll. Collaborate with team members, external payroll partners and internally with finance to ensure all changes and transactions are entered in a timely manner.
  • Learn and take over administration of benefits, open enrollment, compliance items and notifications. Present benefits package at new hire orientation, assist new hires with questions and process.
  • Process leave of absence requests in coordination with state and federal mandated benefits laws along with additional firm benefits.
  • Manage onboarding and exit administrative process as well as all other team member updates within ADP Workforce Now,
  • Maintain electronic employee records, ensure records are lawfully kept.
  • Create and distribute merit/promotion letters and other correspondence to team members as needed.
  • Utilize and become proficient with administration of TalentSpace, (our performance management system,) complete tasks such as maintaining current employees, enter changes and updates timely, run reports and push out notifications as needed.
  • Manage maintenance of HRIS systems as necessary.
  • Provide information as requested and authorized to members of leadership and team members.
  • Collaborate with Director, Talent Management and external legal resource on processing immigration requirements and guiding team members through the process.
  • Work on continuously knowing and updating multi-state lawful requirements as needed. Partner with Talent Management leaders to ensure compliance.
  • Assist with employee relations, performance management and investigations as requested.
  • Other duties as assigned.

    • Bachelor's degree in Business or Human Resources preferred; equivalent experience may be considered
    • Human Resources experience required, 3+ years preferred
    • HR Certification preferred
    • Strong technology skills, including MS Office Suite; proficiency in Excel is required
    • Knowledge of ADP Workforce Now and ability to quickly learn HRIS required
    • Confidentiality and maintaining data integrity is critical
    • Demonstrated organizational skills and strong attention to details
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Ability to multi-task and manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment
