If so,IPG Photonicsis a great place to start!We are willing to train the right candidate that has an eagerness to learn and succeed!Summary: IPG's fiber block assemblers perform various duties such as cleaning, splice, test, and recoat fiber optic bare glass while maintaining specifications provided. This task is accomplished using a variety of hand tools, testing equipment, spectrum analyzers, and splice machines.Hours: 6:00am - 2:30pm, Monday-Friday. Employees earn 3 weeks of vacation per year, receive 12 paid holidays, and can participate in our 401K with an employer match!Education: High school diploma or GED needed with excellent communication skills both verbal and written.Requirements:Requirements and responsibilities:Regular and reliable attendance with the ability to work overtimeExcellent hand-eye coordination in order to work with very small fiber-optic components consistentlyGood vision with or without glasses is essentialAbility to read and follow written instructions with accuracyAbility to read and follow blueprint schematics with on the job trainingData entry skills both written records and computer entryPerform tests and measurements throughout the build process while maintaining specificationsTroubleshooting & repair of own assembliesKeep a clean and well-organized workspace at all timesNice to have: Experience with fiber optics or splicing would be great, but willing to trainThis position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22C.F.R. -120.15 are required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, asylee.
