Claims - Litigation Mgmt - Claims Legal Ops Specialist Tuesday,

Litigation Management team is currently seeking a Claims Legal
Operations Specialist. This is a full time, non-exempt role. This
position is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement. POSITION
OVERVIEW: Responsible administrative support of the Outside Counsel
and Legal E-Bill Teams. This includes managing the application,
approval/declination and onboarding processes of outside counsel
firms. The candidate will utilize multiple technologies and data
resources to compile information to assist in monitoring external
firm performance, rate structure and assist in allocation of
counsel resources across multiple lines of business and
jurisdictions. Responsibilities also include overseeing the content
of the team's resource sites and working with the Legal-Ebill
administrative staff and AVP of litigation with the maintenance and
oversight of the outside counsel database and vendor e-billing
registration process. IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:
- Utilize technologies to manage the firm
onboarding/evaluation/registration/ongoing performance management
process
- Assist in the enforcement of established policies on firm
selection, matter assignment, retention, rate setting and
compliance with Hanover Billing Guidelines
- Coordinate firm application/approval process with AVP
Litigation, Outside Counsel Advisory Board, and key claim
managers
- Communicate with firms, e-billing vendor, claim partners and
e-billing team in resolution of issues as they arise in the bill
review process
- Shares oversight of the team's external and internal resource
sites: site content and coordination of approval of content with
leadership and office of the general counsel.
- Coordinate Firm Changes/File Transfers
- Monitor areas of opportunity/gaps by line of business,
geography
- Assist the AVP in the identification and monitoring of
litigation trends for purposes of feedback to claims business unit
leadership, including further opportunities for expense control.
WHAT YOU NEED TO APPLY:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Advanced Office 365 skills preferred
- Some familiarity with litigation and claims processes
- Demonstrate effective communication, relationship building,
attention to detail, an inquisitive nature, and conflict
resolution.
- Ability to express concepts (e.g. business and technical),
ideas, opinions and conclusions verbally and in writing, so that
others understand or are persuaded to act.
