Open Sky Community Services was built through the affiliation of
two of Central Massachusetts’ premier human service organizations:
Alternatives Unlimited, Inc. and The Bridge of Central
Massachusetts. While our name and agency is new, our collective
histories are long and strong. We are a leader in providing support
to people living with mental health or developmental
challenges throughout Central MA. Pairing proven evidenced based

Under the supervision of the Vice President of Behavioral Health
Services, the Director of the Open Sky Outpatient Services is the
lead clinician and administrator overseeing all aspects of
outpatient behavioral health services provided by Open Sky. In this
capacity, the Director will have oversight responsibilities for the
daily operations of the administrative and clinical management of
outpatient mental health services, including but not limited to
supervision of staff, budget management, maintaining up to date
policies and protocols, ensuring quality standards are maintained,
and partnering with Open Sky leadership in new program development
and state of the art services. The position also offers the
opportunity to represent Open Sky Community Services at internal
and external meetings as assigned by the Vice President of
Behavioral Health Services and in collaboration with the Open Sky
New Business development department to address service gaps in the
communities we serve
Responsibilities Responsible for the day to day management of
the Outpatient Counseling Center and completion of tasks through
delegation to office or clinical staff.
Provide clinical supervision to assigned Outpatient Counseling
Collaborate with the OCC office manager on the management of new
referrals to the OCC from intake to assignment.
Work collaboratively with the Open Sky training and clinical
team to ensure outpatient staff are trained in necessary protocols,
diagnosis and treatment methods, and clinical intervention
strategies for quality mental health service delivery.
Oversee quality improvement for outpatient services through
development of procedures, manuals and training materials.
Collaborate in the development of outcome and satisfaction
measures and data collection and analysis.
Work in collaboration with the Chief Medical Officer to identify
and implement any changes to clinic operations and policies.
Review statistics on activities of the department and recommend
strategies for improvement in performance, productivity, and
Qualifications Master’s degree in social work, psychology,
counseling or related field and independent Massachusetts license
(LICSW, LMHC) and at least three years prior experience in
administration, coordination with supervision of mental health
and/or case management/counseling services required. Significant
knowledge of and experience with outpatient and community based 3
rd party billing, as well as working with Managed Care
Organizations and prior work experience in a social services or
healthcare setting as a direct client services provider (i.e.
clinician, case manager, social worker, or other) and experience
with and willingness to learn evidence-based practice models for
treatment of mental health disorder highly preferred.
