The Licensed Clinician - MH Services is an integral part of the
trans-disciplinary team that supports people on their road to
recovery. The schedule for the Licensed Clinician position is
typically Monday-Friday first shift. All schedules are designed to
meet the needs of people supported.
The Licensed Clinician - MH Services takes part in the rotation
of an emergency beeper at regular intervals.
Complete, in collaboration with Program Developers, all
Screening and Enrollment of individuals served referred to Respite
within 24 hours of referral. Identify and evaluate referred
individuals served risk issues and develop appropriate critical
need interventions and transition plans. Ensure timely completion,
with individuals served and other members of the Trans-Disciplinary
Team, the Comprehensive Assessment and other clinical assessments
as needed. Participate in and sign off on the development and
implementation of Individualized Action Plans (IAP's) and IAP
reviews. Develop and facilitate clinical and support groups based
on the needs and preferences of individuals served. Provide
clinical consultation to staff teams. Provide consultation and
support to the Adult Family/Foster Care Program including the
process to qualify providers as well as home visits as indicated.
Provide agency staff and individuals served with support and
consultation in response to serious events. Develop, coordinate,
and deliver trainings in conjunction with the Assistant Directors
of Mental Health Services, Directors of Rehabilitation and
Recovery, Program Developers, Staff Developers, Registered Nurses,
and Clinical Director, as needed to address the clinical learning
needs of staff (e.g. orientation, crisis intervention, effectively
dealing with challenging behaviors, etc.). Develop productive
affiliations and partnerships with other community-based providers
to enhance the agency's service delivery network. Assist program
coordinators to identify and evaluate referred individuals' risk
behaviors and develop appropriate transition plans and
interventions. Facilitate the coordination and analysis of
Safeguard Monitoring Data and develop and implement corrective
action plans in conjunction with other members of the
Trans-Disciplinary Team. Participate in the Agency's internal
critical incident and complaint review process. Support and monitor
the implementation of identified clinical approaches and best
practices ascribed to by the agency. Participate in On-Call beeper
rotation. Perform other duties as assigned.
Master's Degree in social services field with professional
license as well as five years of professional experience including;
direct service to individuals with disabilities, staff supervision
and development, and working within large service systems.
Willingness to achieve Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation
Practitioner certification and valid driver's license required.
