Job Description:
Manages the proper delivery of commercial documents in the
commercial loan origination process. Prepares all documents from
the point of commitment to the closing of a loan. Ensures quality
of loan documentation and assists with commercial loan reviews and
regulatory compliance. Provides a variety of administrative support
tasks to assigned Commercial Lender. Ensures compliance with
respect to regulatory timelines and accuracy of loan documentation
Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Manages the commercial pipeline to ensure loans are
dispositioned in accordance with Regulation B.
- Performs pre-closing review of loan documents for other CLAs in
absence of Loan Officer or as needed.
- Consistently provides superior professional service to internal
and external customers.
- Prepares commitment letters, proposal letters and other
correspondence, in addition to commercial loan documents with loan
documentation software in accordance with Bank approval. Works
closely with Lender to coordinate closings with attorneys and
customers.
- Performs credit checks, when appropriate. Contracts with
outside vendors for services such as appraisal, environmental,
flood certifications and IRS information and processes related
invoices.
- Reviews documentation pre and post-closing to ensure accuracy.
Researches and obtains missing documentation.
- Ensures compliance with Flood Insurance regulation.
- Inputs and processes commercial loans into core system and
maintains customer's credit/legal files in document imaging
software.
- Prepares Small Business Administration (SBA) program loan
packages, authorizations and documentation
- Disburses funds, assists commercial customers with transactions
including construction loan disbursements, wires, deposits,
withdrawals, and loan payments.
- Prepares loan modification documentation in accordance with
Bank approval.
- Files UCC for all applicable new loans to perfect lien.
- Enters data into appropriate software for SBA/HMDA/CRA loans as
applicable.
- Coordinate inspections, title rundowns and disbursements for
construction loans.
- Preparation of declined and withdrawn notifications to
customers, ensuring compliance with Regulation B.
- Updates commercial loan system with financial statements.
- It should be expected that, from time to time, other duties,
both related and unrelated to the above, may be assigned and
therefore required. Along with ability to support and provide
services in multiple locations as required. Requirements:
Position Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent. College degree is
desirable.
- 3-5 years experience in banking or financial industry
preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to provide high-level of customer service
with a pro-active approach to problem solving.
- Strong organizational, verbal and written communication
skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency with personal computer applications
such as Word and Excel
- Good analytical skills and high level of attention to
detail.
- Ability to multi-task and reprioritize tasks throughout the day
to ensure deadlines are met, often working independently.
- Knowledge of COCC Insight core system and LoanVantage LOS, is
preferred.
- Travel to multiple locations required as necessary.
- Flexibility to adjust to changing environment, both regulatory
and culturally. Physical Requirements The Commercial Loan
Administrator is in a non-confined office type setting in which he
or she is free to move about at will. The Commercial Loan
Administrator spends time writing, typing, speaking, listening,
carrying, seeing (such as close, color and peripheral vision, depth
perception), sitting, pulling, walking, standing, and reaching. The
Commercial Loan Administrator may operate any or all of the
following: telephone, copy and fax machine, adding machine
(calculator), scanner, computer, printers and other equipment as
