In return, we'll help you build a career that you can feel passionate about. Job Summary We are seeking a Resource Coordination Specialist for our Safety Assessment site located in Shrewsbury, MA . The Resource Coordination Specialist will be responsible for animal procurement, animal facility planning, placement, utilization and capacity conditioning scheduling and vendor management. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Act as facility purchasing agent for animal procurement. Analyze data and schedules to coordinate the planning, placement, utilization and capacity for the animal colonies and animal rooms. Ensure related databases are maintained. Coordinate animal supply on proposals and signed contracts with applicable sources. Communicate with multiple departments regarding changes/modifications of animal requirements for proposals and signed contracts. Maintain accurate records of site animal census. Ensure appropriate numbers of animals in PK colony. Perform all other related duties as assigned. Job Qualifications The following are the minimum requirements for the Resource Coordination Specialist : Education: Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent in life science or related discipline. Experience: 1 years related experience in laboratory animal setting and scheduling. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above. Certification/Licensure: AALAS certification at ALAT level desired. Other: Effective communication, organizational and interpersonal skills. Ability to meet deadlines, take initiative in generating solutions, and to work independently. Considerable knowledge of GLPs. Computer literate in Word, Access and Excel.
