About this job

Saint Vincent's electrophysiology team of doctors, nurse specialists, radiology technicians and support staff are ready to provide a range of electrophysiology procedures.

Services include:

Cardiac ablatio, cardioversion, implantable loop recorder, pacemakers, and implantable cardiac defibrillators (ICD).

Demonstrates technical expertise in the Performance of complete echocardiograms including but not limited to 2-D, Doppler, Color Flow, M-Mode and Stress Echo. Acts as a resource to other technologists and physicians. Responsible for assisting the manager in daily laboratory operations. Acts as Technical Director of the lab and performs all functions in compliance with IAC (International Accreditation Commission) testing standard. Supervises technical staff in the absence of the manager. Coordinates education of students and evaluates their progress and competency. Assists manager in the orientation of new technical staff. Assists manager in evaluating technical performance of technologists.

Education

Associates Degree or Graduate of ultrasound program in echocardiography

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Required

Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) and Registry for Medical Sonography (RDMS) or registered eligible; to be completed within 6 months after hire. American Heart Association (BLS) Certification

Knowledge and Skills

1 year experience in echocardiography, preferred.
