The ideal candidate will work closely with radiologists, technologists, and other staff to deliver direct patient care and assume responsibilities before, during, and after breast biopsy procedures. Key responsibilities include:

• 
  
• Preparing and handling supplies and equipment to maintain an aseptic environment
  
• Maintaining the highest standard of sterile technique during procedures
  
• Maintaining equipment and supply levels, sterilizing/cleaning of instruments and equipment
  
• Assisting in the cleaning and stocking of procedure rooms
  
• Properly caring for specimens and processing pathology orders
  
• Maintaining appropriate logs and records
  
• Explaining procedures to patients and providing post-biopsy care instructions
  
• Performing reminder and follow-up wellness calls to patients
  
• Complying with health and safety requirements and regulatory agencies
  
  
  Required qualifications include:
  
  
  • 
    
  • Medical Assistant certification or Surgical Technology degree from an accredited program
    
  • Basic Life Support certification
    
  • Knowledge of software applications such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel
    
  • Proven ability to multi-task and attention to detail
    
    
    Preferred qualifications include:
    
    
    • 
      
    • Radiology experience
      
    • Experience with Epic and/or Hologic breast imaging equipment
      
    • Proven exceptional patient care/customer service skills
      
    • Proven excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
