Our claims technology support is seeking a Claims Automation Analyst to join our growing team in our Worcester, MA offices. Position summary: Incumbents serving in this job family are responsible for acting as a technology support resource for the entire claim staff countrywide as it relates to claims systems and their interfaces. Also serves as a claim staff contact for IT. Focus is on supporting the wide variety of Claim related systems including troubleshooting, problem resolution, technology projects, using innovative technology to improve information and workflow as well as other project and production work as needed. This is a full-time, exempt role. Responsibilities/Essential Functions: Establish and maintain strong customer relationships as a link between the business and IT community. Provide system related support for the Claims staff and leadership by researching, resolving and answering low to highly complex questions. Test validation of claim system enhancements and technical upgrades that may be required during nights and/or weekends and communicate the findings. Gather business requirements and specifications while interviewing customers to completely understand the situation and then work to develop solutions. Recommend systems and procedural workflow solutions to meet business needs and/or solve problems and obtain customer acceptance from various LOB. Assist in design, preparation and execution of test plans for applications/projects, communicate the findings and ensure that the application developed fulfills the requirements of the business needs. Provide information for the preparation of training materials. Pursue innovative technology solutions to enhance business efficiency and customer experience.Position Requirements: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Minimum 3 years in an insurance/financial organization in a technology related role. Strong customer service skills, consistently displaying awareness and sensitivity to the needs of customers and living the Hanover CARE values. Cultivates an environment of teamwork and thrives in a collaborative environment. Proactive and Problem solving - anticipates, recognizes, identifies and develops solutions to problems. Critical thinking skills to include completing assignments timely and of high quality, sorting thru information to identify what is important versus unimportant and accurately assess and be able to communicate those insights clearly and succinctly. Aptitude for quickly learning and troubleshooting new systems and applications. Aptitude and desire to learn how to use software and systems that are not always user friendly. Takes initiative, a self-starter. Must have ability to multi-task and reprioritize work. Effectively plans and organizes their work to achieve desired outcome. Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills and adapting to the audience as needed. Promotes and facilitates free and open communication. Easily adapts to new or different changing situations, requirements and priorities.
