Job Description:
Purpose of Position:The Production Scheduler is responsible for
proactively maintaining and continuously improving the
Manufacturing production schedule for all Manufacturing assets. The
Scheduler will be an Extreme Collaborator and will perform all
duties to ensure the work center schedules are accurate and
communicated to all relevant departments to drive short term
execution of plans. Will ensure all schedules are created
respecting existing labor and asset capacities and achievable based
on planned material and equipment availabilities. Drive timely
resolution on all scheduling conflicts with relevant
stakeholders.Key Responsibilities:Create, track and maintain the
short-term schedules to provide visibility to defined departments
to drive execution of commercial manufacturing plansIncorporate
input from all relevant departments to ensure schedules are
realistic within relevant constraints and latest informationDrive
optimization of schedules by balancing demand priorities against
optimal production sequencing and efficient resource
(facility/suite, equipment, staff, materials etc.)
utilizationEnsure all feedback regarding changes to existing plans
is incorporated into schedules in timely mannerMaintain detailed
planning and scheduling parameters in planning system to allow
optimal use of system scheduling functionalityGenerate relevant KPI
and operational measures to support identification of trends or
root causing of sub-optimal performanceMaintain accurate production
schedule, providing data for the MRP process to meet production
demandsCreate and maintain Haz waste and Bulk tank management
schedules based on manufacturing activity. Review documents such as
production schedules, work orders, and staffing tables to determine
personnel and materials requirements, and material
prioritiesMonitor production data, including volume produced,
consumption of raw materials, and quality control measures, using
this information for Continuous Improvement activities such as
maintenance of routings and BOM's, increasing accuracy of
production schedule and efficiency reporting.Job Knowledge
Required:Minimum education required: Bachelor's degree in a
relevant scientific, engineering or business disciplineMinimum
experience required: 2-5 years in a GMP Manufacturing setting;
preferably as a MFG Operator or supervisor.Minimum knowledge
required: general cGMP MFG operations (Chromatography, TFF,
Automated Systems, Synthesis etc...)Minimum skills
required:Technical writingProficiency with Microsoft Office
ProgramsFamiliarity with SAP, LIMS, MES (Syncade) other MRP
systemsExperience in a Scheduler role, preferably within a GMP
(Good Manufacturing Principles) environment.Ability to influence
both Supply Chain and functional leaders to support production
optimization recommendationsExcellent communication and
presentation skills. Ability to present ideas in a clear and
concise mannerAnalytical skills with the ability to measure and
report metrics (KPI's) and help to identify issues through peers
and manager through root cause analysisExperience with production
scheduling systems and ERP systems, SAP preferred.Competent using
MS Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPointStrong written
and oral communication skills as well as organizational
skillsKnowledge of industry standards and guidelinesDemonstrated
ability to work effectively under established guidelines and
instructionsAbility to collaborate effectively in a dynamic,
cross-functional matrix environment.Working knowledge of relevant
and current FDA, EU, ICH guidelines and regulations.Ability to
efficiently prioritize and complete multiple projects and tasks in
a fast-paced environment.
