a Mechanical Calibration Technician Trainee. You will work on-site
at our customer facility as a Resident Professional in the
Worcester, MA (Boston area). We are looking for someone who has a
passion for learning and a love of mechanical instrumentation. In
this role you will be part of a team that maintains the calibration
program on-site at a key customer's facility and you will: Learn
the methodology, skills and processes to perform calibrations on
test and measurement equipment.
Receive hands on training so that you can perform calibrations on
low to medium level test and measurement instrumentation in the
calibration laboratory and where necessary at customer's locations
(on-site) once you have been trained and demonstrate
Be responsible for customer satisfaction on all equipment and
Learn how to create and verify calibration data sheets for
technical content and accuracy based upon specifications and
approved procedures. QUALIFICATIONS: As a Calibration Technician
Trainee you must possess: High School diploma, GED, or
Ability to learn methodology, skills and processes to perform
calibrations on test and measurement equipment.
Basic math skills.
Familiarity with basic (hand) tools.
Strong communication skills.
Proficient computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft
Office (Word & Excel), Internet research and database
Excellent attention to detail and multi-tasking ability.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to effectively
Self starter and able to work independently. Although not required,
the candidate that we are targeting would have one or more of the
following: Education or training in instrumentation, machine shop
inspection, machine tool technology, or similar.
Previous experience with instrumentation, working on machinery or
Prior experience working with equipment such as torque wrenches,

Summary: Primary responsibility for maintaining a calibration
program at a customer site. Performs calibrations at customer site,
facilitates on-site and off-site calibrations, maintains
calibration records and maintains calibration standards at customer
site at a level that satisfies traceability and audit requirements.

Responsibility: Perform equipment recall for equipment past due and
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for all calibration
Maintain all calibration program related documentation to meet
customer and TRESCAL requirements
Ensures all calibration activities meet customer and TRESCAL
Works with purchasing department to specify calibration
requirements and coordinate supplier activities
Retrieves equipment for calibration throughout the customer site
Returns equipment from calibration to proper locations throughout
the customer site where necessary
Perform calibrations on customer equipment
Prioritize workload to meet customer process needs
Communicate current status of all activities to customer
Support customer audits as they relate to the calibration program
Skills / Abilities Required: Very good organizational skills,
meticulous with details
Experience with using Microsoft software and computers to include
Ability to work independently
Ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing
Moderate level understanding of math Educational / Experience
Required: Minimum education: High School Diploma or equivalent:
Military calibration training preferred
5 years previous experience in calibration Physical / Demands:
Lifting up of up to 50 pounds. Working Conditions: Typically Office
and laboratory working environment.
