Job Description
Subject matter expert involved with the development and deployment
of global systems to support the business needs of Olympus. Works
closely with the project teams to ensure stakeholder requirements
are being met. Assists PMO with project management to ensure tasks
are completed and timelines are being met to maintain schedule.
Directly supports elements of validation end user training and
authoring system/process documentation.
Job Duties
* Serves a as subject matter expert understanding customer
requirements and technical capabilities of the system tool to be
deployed.
* Collaborates with business users internal technology teams across
Olympus and vendors to establish and prioritize business and
technology requirements.
* Reviews assesses and develops business processes focusing on the
effective use of resources both people and technology in the
execution of the business process.
* Analyses the feasibility of and develops requirements for new
systems and enhancements to existing systems; from a business and
technology perspective to ensure the system design fits the needs
of the users.
* Translates business requirements into system deliverables that
are understandable to the end-users.
* Change agent to facilitate effective deployment of business
systems.
* Work with and manage complex workflows as they pertain to
business process.
* Creates documentation supporting business functions and processes
(i.e. constructs workflow charts and diagrams; studying system
capabilities; writing specifications; design documentation).
* Conducts change impact analysis to assess the potential
implications of changes to documents functions and
requirements.
* Writes detailed universally understood procedures for end users
and assists in developing overall change management strategy for
projects developed for deployment, and development of validation
documentation (i.e. IQ OQ PQ and UAT).
* Participates in user acceptance and validation testing of systems
to be deployed.
* Provides training guidance and is a resource support for end
users.
* Develops training materials and conduct training sessions with
business users to improve adoption and efficient use of all
systems.
* Defines project requirements by identifying project milestones
phases and elements.
* Monitors project progress communicating project status to the
team responsible for the project identifying and mitigating
potential risks to project success and tracking all project issues
and managing their resolution.
* Manage Project related tasks and teams.
* Provides work direction to one or more technical or business team
members.
* Administrates and facilitates working meetings for teams of
primary stakeholders involved in process definition.
* Plans organizes and conducts project management reviews with
Project Management to evaluate progress and actions in the
development of the system.
* All other essential related duties as required.
Job Requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATION:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
discipline.
* Minimum of 7-10 years of related experience in analyzing,
clarifying and translating business requirements into functional
and technical specifications.
* Minimum of 5 years' experience supporting or working within a
pharma medical device or any other regulatory controlled
industry.
* Background and familiarity with U.S. FDA QSR requirements
including ISO 9001 MDD 93/42 ISO 13485-2003 and Canadian Medical
Device requirements.
* Proven Project Management skills (minimum of 5 years of project
or organization management and/or project administration related
experience).
* Travel up to 50% of the time.
PREFFERED QUALIFICATION:
* Excellent interpersonal verbal and written communication skills
as well as business presentation skills.
* Interfaces effectively across organizational lines addressing
both technical and non-technical audiences at a variety of
organizational levels.
* Knowledge of the software development life cycle (SDLC).
Knowledge of business application testing approaches.
* Proficient in the use of Information Technology and applications
(i.e. MS Office suite of products). Experience with Jira Oracle SAP
IFS Metrics Datasweep software a plus.
* Experience with electronic Complaint Handling Systems and EtQ
Reliance software preferred.
* Ability to speak Japanese a plus.
