Overview









POSITION SUMMARY: Reporting to the Director or designee, the Simulation Technician assists in installation, testing and maintenance of simulation and other equipment pertaining to the inter-professional Center for Experiential Learning and Simulation, iCELS. The Simulation Technician I will provide technical assistance for iCELS users and assist with all aspects of running a simulation including recording scenarios, equipment setup and clean up. Provide after-hours coverage as needed.













Responsibilities









ESSENTIONAL FUNCTIONS:

Prepares skills lab and simulated learning activities in coordination with the simulation technician and facultyProvide resources in the skills and simulation lab for mastery of psychomotor and clinical reasoning skills Assist in developing and implementing clinically based scenarios for simulation Implements and runs simulation exercises using low, mid and high-fidelity human patient simulators Assist faculty in planning and implementing simulation activities Maintain a clean, fully equipped simulation labManage the room set-up and clean-up for demonstration of clinical procedures and practice Maintain lab and simulation equipment, to include upkeep and maintenance schedules Collaborate on ordering and maintaining inventory of all lab supplies and equipmentWork collaboratively with all faculty in scheduling the skills and simulation labAssist with iCELS approved special eventsPerform other duties as required.













Qualifications









REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in science or equivalent experience2 years of clinically relevant experience in a healthcare setting (e.g. allied health roles)Able to travel to offsite locations Able to provide technical support after hours and/or on weekends
