Job Description:
Barrday Corporation, a manufacturer of composite materials, is
in search of a 1st shift Quality Technician.ABOUT USBarrday
Corporation is an advanced material solutions company whose product
lines encompass applications for the composite and protective

technologically advanced solutions for our customers, including
fiber reinforcements, prepregs, laminates, coating adhesives and
core materials.JOB SUMMARYThe Quality Technician will conduct
performance quality testing using various equipment and methods.
The technician will have strong communication skills to effectively
transfer information.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Physical and
mechanical testing including resin characteristics, tensile
strength, climbing drum peel, compressive strength, pyrolysis, etc.
- A successful candidate must be able to set-up and run a variety
of machined test samples. - Perform routine maintenance and keep
equipment and work area clean and orderly. - Completing and sending
certification documents to the customer - Completing and updating
required quality documentation - Updating quality data, including
physical test data, mechanical test data, and inspection data -
Share acquired skills with colleagues through training. - Use of
measurement tools. - Other duties as may be assigned.KEY
QUALIFICATIONS: - High school diploma or equivalent; completion of
vocational training or an apprenticeship will be an asset. - Must
be able to read and receive instructions in English. - At least 1
year experience as machinist. - Must have the ability to work
rapidly and under time pressure for extended periods of time in
order to meet build requirements in a fast-paced environment. -
Fluency in MS Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) - Strong
attention to detail - Proven problem-solving ability. - Ability to
read technical drawings and diagrams. - Experience working with
machine shop equipment. - Excellent communication skills including
technical writing experience. - Effective multitasking required. -
Strong team player who is self-directed - At least 3 years of
quality or analytical experienceWORKING CONDITIONS: - Manufacturing
setting - Continuous periods of standing and walking required. -
Considerable lifting and loading (with assistance of appropriate
tools and machines) - May include cutting and the use of sharp
tools. - Machining equipment - Use of chemicals and solvents with
