Technicians are responsible for diagnosing problems with vehicles,
performing maintenance, and repairs on our client's cars that come
in for service. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Diagnoses,
maintains, and repairs vehicle automotive systems including engine,
transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, and air
conditioning;Performs work specified on the repair order with
efficiency and in accordance with dealership and manufacturer
standards;Performs maintenance procedure, including oil changes,
fluid level checks, tire rotations, etc.;Tests components and
systems using diagnostic tools and special service
equipment;Provide an estimate of the time needed for additional
repairs;Executes repairs under warranty to manufacturer
specifications;Suggest other services or repairs as
necessary;Performs test drives as needed;State-regulated vehicle
inspections;Communicates directly with the Service Advisor and/or
Service Dispatcher so that customers can be informed if any
additional service is needed;Performs other related duties
consistent with the role; this does not preclude management from
assigning additional, though unrelated, duties. Strong
understanding of automotive systems, diagnostic tools, and repair
techniques;Effective problem-solving skills are crucial for
diagnosing and repairing vehicle issues;Ability to work in a team
environment efficiently;Excellent verbal and written communication
skills;Excellent time management skills;Excellent organization
skills and attention to detail.Required Education / Experience /
Certifications:Valid Driving License and acceptable Driving Record
History;Acceptable Background Record;Strong understanding of
automotive systems, diagnostic tools, and repair techniques;Current
ASE certification, or ability to attain certification.Physical
Requirements:Ability to lift and move heavy objects like engines,
transmissions, tires, parts, etc. (up to 50 pounds);Fine motor
skills, such as manipulating small parts, using hand tools, and
working with precision;Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, squat, and
climb to access various parts of a vehicle;Visual acuity for
identifying problems, reading gauges, and working with small
parts;Extended periods of standing, walking, and reaching.Tulley
