SHIFT: 2nd Shift (days may vary) Due to new Customer Partnerships we are growing and expanding our business and as a result, we are looking for new talent to join our team! The Shipping Lead is responsible for supporting a variety of needs within the warehouse by responding to supervisory requests. This role generally works in the shipping areas of the warehouse that have a need for additional staffing or back up support for absences or scheduled time off. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist supervisors on appointed shift with a variety of warehouse needs, including but not limited to loading, selecting, forklift operation, and supporting the balance of work flow. Work in areas which need additional manpower. Cover areas due to absences and/or vacations of supervisors and hourly employees. Review punch detail reports (time records) to ensure punch in/out is recorded and report any inaccuracies. Review production reports to assess associate's performance, including but not limited to, cases per hour or pallets per hour for forklifts. Assist in training of new employees, including but not limited to forklift replenishments, receiving, or loading job functions. Demonstrate training ability and development of strong relationships. Work directly with warehouse supervision in Slotting, GTIN functionality and overall general supervision duties on all daily operations. Assist in training of new employees, including but not limited to forklift replenishments, selection, or loading job functions. Demonstrate training ability and development of strong relationships. Comply with safety policies and procedures. Wear required personal protective equipment. Complete special projects and other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, and SKILLS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma with a minimum of two (2) years of related warehouse experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. CERTIFICATES, LICENCES, REGISTRATIONS: Rider pallet jack certification required. May be required to maintain forklift and dock stocker certifications. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None. While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals.
