Job Description:
The Manager of Sales Training and Development is responsible for
leading the Training and Development department to optimize,
develop, and manage initial and ongoing sales training programs
ensuring our Field Sales teams (all channels) are performing to
their full potential. This role is also responsible for developing
and managing virtual and in person customer and distributor
training platforms and programs including the Precision Customer
Seminar and Distributor Masters Training.Partnering with Sales
leadership, Sales operations and Marketing, this role will have an
immediate impact on our bottom line revenue, as well as employee
productivity and employee retention.The ideal incumbent will have
strong technical product knowledge and selling skills training
background, be detail oriented, accuracy driven, highly organized,
and possess excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills. A
high level of training experience in similar subject matter or
markets in lieu of direct sales experience would be considered. -
Talent Acquisition -(40%)
- Implement innovative sourcing and recruitment strategies,
ensuring alignment with the business, and a focus on acquiring top
diverse talent to meet current and future hiring needs.
- Proactively build a pipeline of talent by creating and
delivering strategic initiatives to attract talent through sourcing
engagement, events participation, referrals programs, online
communities to source high quality and diverse candidates.
- Work closely with HR team and key stakeholders to recruit and
hire new Sales Trainees.
- Manage and develop the sales training staff and sales trainees
along with monitoring and reporting on departmental activities,
costs and performance. Talent Development (40%)
- Leads, develops, implements, and drives key strategic talent
initiatives such as leadership development, career development, and
training .
- Designs and implement leadership development strategies for the
organization, with close alignment to the business .
- Builds training programs and industry education programs that
drive functional expertise and maximize employee's effectiveness
and efficiency .
- Manage course offerings and update as needed.
- Work closely with key stakeholders to develop specific coaching
to correct gaps in operational performance geared to key business
benefits, competitive advantages/disadvantages, and the utilization
of product knowledge in selling activities.
- Work closely with the HR team and key stakeholders to document
and maintain training platform and training compliance.
- Escalate issues appropriately, effectively and promptly.
- Facilitate regular communication and progress review about
incumbents (Sales Trainees) with the key stakeholders in business
units.
- Maintain updated status reports to communicate progress,
challenges, and risk mitigation. Cost Management (20%)
- Manage expense budget spending for the department to maintain
performance within budget.
- Prepare budgetary recommendations, forecasting, tracking and
monitoring of planned spending and provide for effective management
of resources. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (AND) seven or more years
of related field sales experience (OR) an equivalent combination of
education and experience.
- Must be able to lead through influence and empowerment.
- Must have a basic level of familiarity with digital learning
